Admissions
J. Helen Burks Theological Institute
Educating Since 1995
J. Helen Burks has a diverse student body.  The enrollment process begins with the completion of an application for admission and successful completion of the basic aptitude and knowledge exam (BAKE).  In keeping with our commitment to our students' academic success, the BAKE is utilized to assess the appropriate program for students entering the Institute.

Having successfully completed the BAKE, admitted students are enrolled in the appropriate program.  Upon enrollment, students are given the opportunity to transfer applicable credits, prepare a knowledge experience and equivalence portfolio, and sit for knowledge equivalence exams.

We make every attempt to accomodate the desired program as requested in the admissions application, however, other prerequisites may be necessary.  Our ultimate goal is your successful completion of your independent study.
